KS2 SATs are a mix of formal exams and informal assessments in English and Maths for children in Year 6.

Individual SATs results are given to parents at the end of the academic year.

Children are required to take six separate Key Stage 2 SATs papers in English and Maths:

• English Reading
• Maths Paper 1 (Arithmetic)
• Maths Paper 2 (Reasoning)
• Maths Paper 3 (Reasoning)
• Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling Paper 1 (Questions)
• Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling Paper 2 (Spelling Test)

A team of external examiners marks the KS2 SATs papers. Writing assessments, are set and compiled by your child’s teacher.
