At Raynham Primary, we believe in providing a high-quality physical education curriculum which inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in a range of sports. We follow the Enfield Scheme of Work. We endeavour to educate your child on the health benefits of exercise and a healthy diet for the body and the mind with many cross-curricular links.  We also aim to provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness.  Our lessons are based on developing skills in athletics, gymnastics, dance and invasion games. Children in year 5 also attend weekly swimming sessions. We have various sports clubs representing the school and regularly take part in borough competitions.  Our aim is to ensure that all children reach their full potential and to develop lifelong physical activity and to embed values such as respect and fairness. In order to ensure children gain a longer PE session, children are asked to wear their PE kit on their PE day. Please check the website to find out your child’s PE day.
